Jeb Middlebrook, Ph.D. / Arts, Activism & Events



Jeb Middlebrook, Ph.D. is the founder and events producer of SESSION, and is an award-winning professor at California State University, Dominguez Hills in Los Angeles. He produces events, researches, and teaches in the areas of the arts and community activism. Jeb holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in American Studies and Ethnicity from the University of Southern California, and a B.A. in Ethnic Studies (Individually Designed Interdepartmental Major) from the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Middlebrook has been recognized by the Ford Foundation, the Council of Editors of Learned Journals, and ABC, NBC and MTV Networks. His work is published by American QuarterlyCultural Studies / Critical Methodologies, Qualitative Inquiry, Greenwood Press, and indexed by the MLA Bibliography. Jeb has presented at Yale University, the University of Missouri, Kansas University, among other research universities.
