SESSION is an arts & activism events collective that produces free pop-ups, screenings, listenings, shows, curations, festivals, and media. Our goal is to provide people with free resources, spaces, and platforms to develop their passions, and to create community-based businesses, networks, and projects in the process.

Why do we do this? We believe everyone deserves to live a life that affirms and sustains them without compromise. How do we do this? We donate our spaces, platforms, and resources to people for free, and suggest an optional donation in return. People often donate generously to us for our work, usually at rates much higher than our suggested donation. This is the “donation economy,” and it works!

SESSION started as a creative pop-up event in February of 2018, and continued as an event series over 2 years with performances, galleries, installations, screenings, listenings, and pop-ups. After a period of brainstorming and planning, SESSION relaunched in February of 2020 as a free, private events network, alongside a real-time media pop-up. We now collaborate regularly with OP3N HOU5E, a local events & housing network.
